Milagro Gifts is a project of University Medical Center Foundation Volunteer Corps (ages18+) and Kids Corps (ages 8-18). All volunteers complete UMCF CORE Skills Training in Communication, Consensus Building, Conflict Resolution and Compassion. Members of UMCF Volunteer Corps and Kids Corps gain valuable business experience and real-life coping skills fulfilling day to day responsibilities of Milagro Gifts operations.
Senior volunteers and Guest Workshop lecturers facilitate, mentor and offer support to Kids Corps volunteers by sharing expertise in a variety of skills related to business operations: accounting, customer service, organization, photography, copy writing, marketing, public speaking. and more.
From the proceeds of Milagro Gifts, UMC Foundation Volunteer Corps and Kids Corps members determine as a group what medical issue(s) or department(s) on the UMC campus will benefit from their gift.
